Max Holloway and Calvin Kattar are set to scrap in the main event of the January 16 UFC Fight Night card.
Holloway (#1) returns after losing back-to-back fights to featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. Kattar (#6) has won two in a row, defeating Jeremy Stephens by KO and most recently Dan Ige by unanimous decision.
The Body Lock’s Patrick Auger, Matthew Wells, and Drake Riggs discussed the fight announcement and shared their opinions and predictions ahead of the featherweight showdown in January.
Auger starts by saying that he loves the matchup and that it’s going to be crazy to see Holloway in a non-title fight.
Riggs is pleased that the UFC didn’t go ahead with the Alexander Volkanovski trilogy. He’s also excited for this fight, knowing that Kattar can rise to the occasion at big moments.
Wells loves the matchup, as well, stating that he expects it to be “fireworks,” and would happily back this to be Fight of the Night without even knowing what other fights will be on the fight card.
Are you looking forward to this one?
