Petr Yan vs. Aljamain Sterling isn’t happening! Well, for now, at least.
Yan explained why UFC needed to delay the fight for “about a month and a half.” “There were different problems, with the flight, with the visa, during training I flew away for a visa deadline, lots of factors,” Yan said on Instagram Live (via RT Sport). “We decided with the team to move everything to next year, perhaps the card will be more suitable.”
This explains why UFC was so quick to book Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Brandon Moreno following UFC 255 this past weekend.
Here’s how Patrick Auger and Matthew Wells reacted to the Yan vs. Sterling cancelation and also the news of a fast turnaround for both Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno.
