Anderson Silva released from UFC and Bellator is seemingly off the table 1

Anderson Silva is no longer a part of the UFC roster.

It was announced today that “The Spider” was released from the UFC roster and that he is now a free agent. Silva is likely now looking for his next landing spot, but that seemingly won’t be Bellator after Scott Coker released comments that showed he and the promotion were not too interested in signing the legend.

So, where could Anderson Silva end up? Here’s what Matthew Wells, Ant Walker, and Drake Riggs have to say.

Wells wants to see Silva compete only in fun-style exhibitions that will allow Silva to stay safe and healthy. He doesn’t want to see him competing against people in their prime while he is well past his.

Riggs agrees and says that it’s best if he stops right here. He has no interest in seeing him fight anymore at this stage. But, if he was to make a prediction, he expects Silva to land at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship because CEO David Feldman is throwing money around to sign marquee names.

Walker wouldn’t be surprised by that signing but is going to stick with his original lean toward Silva vs. Fedor Emelianenko happening in Japan. Walker also doesn’t trust Scott Coker’s words — he wouldn’t be shocked if Bellator signed Silva, as well.
