More hard ground and pound. McGregor responds with an upkick. McGregor’s taking so much damage and Herb Dean is starting to watch this one very closely. The pace has been ridiculous. Poirier turns to Herb Dean and complains about McGregor holding his gloves. McGregor uses the chance to stand up. He swings a big left hand and Poirier swings a punch of his own. They both miss but McGregor rolls his ankle and seemingly snaps his shin/leg? What just happened? McGregor’s in pain. He shells up and Poirier tries to finish the fight. That’s the end of the round.

McGregor can’t continue. The doctor calls it. What an unbelievable end to what was an absolutely fantastic fight for as long as it lasted.
