Khabib Nurmagomedov returns to the Octagon to defend the UFC Lightweight Championship from the interim champion, Dustin Poirier.

The main event bout will be Nurmagomedov’s first fight since he defeated Conor McGregor by fourth-round submission at UFC 229 in October last year. You can watch the full fight video of that bout here.
While Nurmagomedov was away from competition, Poirier snagged the interim title by defeating Max Holloway at UFC 236 in April. That win moved Poirier to an official five-fight winning streak. Poirier has now won nine of his last ten bouts, not including the ‘no contest’ result against Eddie Alvarez.
In the co-main event of UFC 242, Edson Barboza and Paul Felder will collide in a lightweight rematch. Barboza came out on top when the two met back in July 2015, winning the fight by unanimous decision.
