Round one
They touch gloves and Blaydes takes control of the center. Both fighters light on their feet. Abdurakhimov first to throw a punch and Blaydes uses the opportunity to shoot in. He gets the back quickly, but can’t secure hooks. Abdurakhimov stands to his feet but Blaydes picks him up and slams him right down to the mat again. Abdurakhimov turns to turtle and returns to his feet, again. Blaydes separates. No real impact there besides the big slam for Blaydes.
Doesn’t take that long for Blaydes to run-in with another takedown attempt. Again gets control of Abdurakhimov as he turns to show his back in the turtle position. Abdurakhimov stays on his knees, waiting for a chance to recover. Blaydes still working him with knees to the thigh. Blaydes finishes the round with some heavy ground and pound.

Round two
Blaydes rushes forward for a takedown and eats a solid uppercut from Abdurakhimov in the process. Forward momentum helps carry him forward to get the takedown and land in a dominant spot. He slides through into side control and looks heavy from the position. Abdurakhimov returns to his knees again this round and does a good job of avoiding major damage. Blaydes starting to open up now, though, and is connecting with heavy punches to the head of Abdurakhimov. An elbow to the head of Abdurakhimov forces him to turn and the referee steps in to stop the fight.
