Trevin Giles found a home for his jab early on and made quick work of Braga Neto on the way to a third-round finish at UFC Fight Night 123.

Undefeated talent

Trevin Giles has been a name steadily gaining traction since his UFC debut. His second win under the promotion was met with even more highlights as he put on a striking clinic in Fresno. After a tough first round that saw him stuck on his back, Giles turned up the style to land great combinations in the second. His homing jab was too quick for Braga Neto to react. Giles’ confidence with his striking only continued as his speed, timing and accuracy only got better going into the third.

Braga Neto’s toughness was the only thing keeping him up on his feet well into the third. Even though he kept the pressure in the first, the cardio of Giles was too much. Giles now takes his undefeated record to 11-0 with that victory. His finishing rate also improves to +90% as he has five submissions and five knockouts on his resume.

Trevin Giles will be looking to cap off an excellent 2017 with even more success come next year. The undefeated prospect has been excelling against most of his opponents. The crisp striking and excellent conditioning for a high pace division is a great winning combination for Giles to continue his streak. Giles made the claim for a win bonus tonight, but we’ll see if that actually pans out given all the exciting fighters on this action-packed Fresno card.

Whether you like the style of Trevin Giles or not, he is most definitely making his presence known as a ‘Problem’ for the division.
