  • Dustin Poirier vs. Michael Chandler

Masvidal faces Diaz at Madison Square Garden in New York in a bout that will determine who walks away with the UFC’s BMF (baddest motherf***er) title.

Masvidal (34-13) steps into this fight after securing the fastest knockout in UFC history in July. “Gamebred” crushed then-undefeated Ben Askren with a flying knee to stop the fight in just five seconds. That effort, together with a brilliant knockout win against Darren Till in March, has helped Masvidal earn this main event slot at MSG this weekend.

Diaz (20-11) made his return to the UFC in August this year after a two-year break from the sport. The 34-year-old impressed with his typical pace and pressure over three rounds to score a unanimous decision win against former UFC champion Anthony Pettis. That victory helped Diaz back to the winning column after he lost a majority decision to Conor McGregor in August 2016.

Masvidal vs. Diaz and the entire UFC 244 main card will stream exclusively on ESPN+ in the United States this Saturday night.

With the UFC now partnered with ESPN for 2019 and beyond, UFC PPV events are no longer aired via traditional pay-per-view methods and are instead streamed live on ESPN+.
