Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Makhachev is the scheduled main event for the event that will take place at a special time, considering the timezone differences. Unlike events hosted in the United States, the UFC 280 PPV main card will begin at 2:00 pm ET / 11:00 am PT only on ESPN+ PPV. The preliminary section of the fight card will commence earlier in the morning at 10:00 am ET / 7:00 am PT.

Oliveira’s mission at hand is reclaiming the title that was stripped from him at UFC 274. Oliveira’s title was taken away after he missed the championship weight limit before his bout with Justin Gaethje. Although he defeated Gaethje that weekend by first-round submission, he was also ineligible to win back the title considering the botched weigh-in. The title has remained vacant before UFC 280 with either Oliveira or his opponent Makhachev in a position to emerge as the new lightweight champ.

The UFC 280 fight card is shaping up to be one of the best of the year, with two title fights and a collection of other fantastic fights. In the co-main event, Aljamain Sterling, the 135-pound champion, will face TJ Dillashaw in a UFC Bantamweight Championship fight. Before then, Petr Yan will clash with Sean O’Malley in a bantamweight fight.

Notice: The UFC 280 fight card will stream at a special Saturday afternoon time in the United States and will only be available to watch on ESPN+ PPV.
