Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol picked up her second consecutive victory when she defeated Krisna Limbaga with a unique armbar at ONE: Quest for Gold.
Lumban Gaol controlled the contest from start to finish. It all began with a trip takedown that ended up with Limbaga resorting to a turtle position. Lumban Gaol was able to secure one hook, but couldn’t gain complete control of her opponent. The two engaged in a lengthy hand fight that while battling for position. But it was Lumban Gaol who was still on top and applying heavy top pressure, effectively disallowing Limbaga from standing.
When Limbaga did get back to her feet, Lumban Gaol immediately locked her up and threw her back down to the mat before landing in a modified side control. She then used this advantageous position to lock Limbaga’s arm between her legs before thrusting her hips forward and applying an unusual armbar.
Limbaga submitted quickly and the contest was called off at the 4:05 mark of round one.
